The zone the transporter has reserved and is travelling into, or null when it is not moving.
A transporter holds this zone as surely as it holds the ones it covers -- no one else may enter it -- but its body is not in it yet. The distinction matters under a control rule that gives up the zone behind at the moment travel begins: a transporter one zone long is then briefly between zones, covering none and holding only this one.
