Whether the reported density depends on where the cuts between components fell.
Every component is estimated from its own group, so every reported component depends on two cut positions — and nothing in the result shows it. This reports what happened when the cuts were moved.
The reading is three-valued rather than a yes or no because a yes-or-no does not survive measurement: calibrated against the designed experiment, a threshold on the density movement is barely better than chance, while the extremes are strongly informative and say different things.
